On Sunday, missing Oklahoma City mom and distance runner, 34-year-old Leslie Driskill, was found alive and well. One of her friends and running buddies, David Bach, confirmed to The Oklahoman that Leslie Driskill is back home, safe and sound.

Leslie Driskill’s family and friends became worried about her when she didn’t return their calls last Tuesday afternoon. The family couldn’t do too much because of the whole 24 hour rule. So after about three days of not being able to get in touch with Leslie Driskill, her family went ahead, last Friday, and filed a missing person report with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

The good news is that with the help of her family, friends, and the police, Leslie Driskill was found alive and well within 48 hours of the missing person report being filed.

Leslie Driskill is an avid runner who, in 2011, ran the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon while she was seven months pregnant with her daughter. “Somebody at work asked me when I was getting a handicap permit. I said, ‘I’m not broken. I’m pregnant,’” is what The Oklahoman quoted Leslie Driskill as saying.

Leslie Driskill and David Bach became friends after they met during the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. The two friends went on to form a runners club called the Last Place Unicorns after they stayed behind to run alongside a runner who was having a trying time getting to the finish line. “Please be warned, we will obnoxiously cheer for you, tell everyone how awesome you are and leave a glittery residue behind,” is what The Oklahoman quoted the Last Place Unicorns as saying on their Facebook page.
